CADSOFT SOLUTIONS BECOMES PRECIENCE
Burtonsville, Md., April 24, 2001 – CADSoft Solutions, Inc., today announced that the company has officially changed its name to Precience, Inc.
The name Precience™ is a play on the noun “prescience”, a synonym of foresight. The new company name, logo and motto were chosen to express the forethought, prudence, and insight provided by the company’s product line.
In a fast paced industry where re-design is not an option, engineers and PCB designers must get designs right the first time. The ability to foresee procurement difficulties, component obsolescence, the possibility of using alternative components, manufacturing constraints as well as electrical signal integrity constraints adds unprecedented value. Precience’s aim is to offer its customers solutions to such future complications before they arise and empower them to engineer their supply chain ahead of time.
