EDWIN CAMPBELL JOINS PRECIENCE AS SYSTEMS ARCHITECT AND DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Burtonsville, Md., March 15, 2002 –Precience, Inc., a leading developer of electronic design automation (EDA) design-for-supply-chain solutions, today announced that Edwin Campbell has joined Precience as Systems Architect and Director of Business Development. Prior to joining Precience, Edwin was System Architect for Strategic Products for the Systems Design Division of Mentor Graphics.

Edwin has over fifteen years of design, development and marketing experience
with EDA products and services. He was previously responsible for the ECAD
environment architecture at Nortel Networks and Apple Computer.
Notably, Edwin negotiated the EDA industry's first pay-per-use licensing
agreement between Nortel & Innoveda (then Viewlogic) in 1998 and was elected
to be a judge on the 2000 Design Automation Conference design achievement
awards panel. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Technikon Natal, South
Africa.
