Business Process Modeling (BPM) is the capturing of Alert and other data and the flow of the data through each and every facet of the business to ensure a complete and accurate accounting of the obsolescence impact. Obsolescence management requires input from several parties before a resolution is formed to a specific problem such as EOL, or process changes. In this process, each and every department, process, task, step, resource, result, measurement, audit, and corrective action is captured via the Precience web-based work flows. This method completely identifies the business needs from a business process or functional standpoint. In addition, it also tracks and audits all levels of detail from a data element perspective.
